How we look after your details

Last updated 22 October 2026

We teach children as well as adults, so we keep as little as we can and share it with as few people as we can. In plain words:

What we keep

  • A student’s name, email (if they have one), time zone, and their level and progress in the Qur’an.
  • The lessons they have had, and the teacher’s short report of each.
  • For students, a date of birth, so we know whether a parent needs to pay for them.
  • What has been paid and what is owed. We never see or keep card numbers: payments are taken by Stripe.
  • If you write to us through the contact form, your name, email, message, and the course you asked about.

Who can see it

  • A student sees their own lessons, reports and credit.
  • A parent sees only the children the school has linked to them.
  • Teachers see the students they teach. The school’s administrator sees everything needed to run the classes and the payments.
  • Other students cannot see anything about each other.
  • Calendar links are private to the person they were made for, and can be replaced at any time.

Who helps us run it

We use Google’s Firebase to host the website and keep records securely, Notion to keep lesson records, and Stripe to take card payments. They handle the data only to provide those services.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent anyone’s details.
  • We do not show advertising or use tracking on this website.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we keep about you or your child, to correct it, or to have it removed. Send us a message and we will help.
